The Origin
Recovery the locals
have been using for years.
We didn't build the sauna as a feature. We built it because every member who actually trains here needed one.
Most gyms in Queenstown treat the sauna as a luxury. We treat it as equipment. A 15-minute round at 90°C does as much for your training week as a session on the platform — and our members know it.
Skiers come in to thaw after a morning at the Remarkables. Athletes use it for protocols backed by two decades of Scandinavian research. Office workers come for the silence at 6am before the day starts.
No booking. No upcharge. No app. Just heat and a clean towel.
Why Use It
Heat is the most
underrated training tool you own.
Regular sauna use is one of the most well-researched recovery tools available. Here's why our members keep coming back.
Recovery
Heat opens vasculature, accelerates circulation and flushes the lactic acid that lingers after hard training. Members who finish in the sauna come back fresher the next day.
Cardiovascular
A twenty-minute sit elevates heart rate to that of a moderate aerobic session. Two decades of Finnish research links consistent sauna use to lower blood pressure and reduced cardiac risk.
Nervous System
Heat exposure followed by a cool shower flips the body into parasympathetic state — the mode where deep sleep, digestion and repair actually happen. The reset is real.
Resilience
Regular heat stress builds heat-shock proteins, improves thermoregulation and trains the body to handle hard things — physical and otherwise. Recovery is a discipline.

The Room
Cedar, low light,
the sound of breathing.
The Ritual
Forty-five minutes to walk
out a different person.
The protocol our coaches recommend. Two rounds, one cool-down, no phone.
Arrive clean00:00
Quick rinse in the showers. Hydrate. Towel in hand.
First round00:15
Twelve to fifteen minutes at 80–90°C. Sit, slow your breath, let the heat do the work.
Cool down00:18
Step out. Cool shower. Three minutes of stillness in the changeroom.
Second round00:32
Back in for another ten. This is where the nervous system shift really happens.
Walk out lighter00:45
Rehydrate, dress, and leave the building feeling like a different person.
