Not at all! Our classes welcome complete beginners. We teach everything from basic stance and footwork to advanced combinations. Each class includes technique instruction before the workout, and our coach provides individual corrections throughout.
We provide all equipment including boxing gloves, hand wraps, and heavy bags. Just bring yourself, a water bottle, and athletic clothing. Many regular members purchase their own gloves for hygiene, but it's not required to start. If you plan to join the Fight Science Sparring sessions, you'll need a gumshield (mouthguard) for safety.
Our regular boxing classes focus on bag work, pad work, and conditioning - no sparring required. However, we do offer dedicated Fight Science Sparring sessions on Friday evenings for those interested in applying their skills in controlled, supervised sparring with proper protective equipment.
Absolutely! Boxing is for everyone regardless of gender. Many of our most dedicated students are women who love the empowerment, fitness benefits, and stress relief boxing provides. Our classes are welcoming and supportive for all.
Boxing is high-intensity, but you control your pace. We provide modifications for fitness level and encourage you to listen to your body. Expect to work hard and sweat a lot - boxing engages your entire body and delivers an exceptional cardio workout.
Boxing is one of the most effective workouts for fat loss, burning 600-800 calories per hour. Combined with the strength training element and intensity, boxing builds lean muscle while torching calories. Many members see dramatic body composition changes.
